Learning
I've had more people to ask my why I'm going on this trip. I've told them it's just a learning experience to share with my kids at school. They just sorta look at me with a blank stare. They are like what will you be doing?? I just say I'll be learning, I said you know teachers we all love to learn. Just get a group of us together and something to figure out and we all get excited. I'm just really a big nerd, we all have our specialites. I have certain things I really feel like I know and I love to share them with others. My special project I'll be working on while I'm there is what the Russian people do for fun. I'll work this up to share at the statewide meeting of geography teachers held in November. I also have a city I'm going to cover. I have it written down but can't remember the name of it. I'm hoping all this Russian will start to get into my brain while I'm there. The learning of this Russian langauge has given me insight into how we learn. With no prior knowledge of the letters or sounds, it has taken me along time to have any of it sink in and stay.
